If you have created your SmartMusic account using your school email address, resetting the password can sometimes be tricky. Take advantage of the Backup Email feature for easy password resets.




If you cannot receive messages from SmartMusic through the primary email address on your account, you can set up a Backup Email address. This means that when you reset your password on the login page, the password reset email is sent to both the primary email address and the Backup Email address.


Your teacher may want the option to change your password for you. Check in with them to see if you should use your teacher's email address as the Backup Email. If your teacher does not want that ability, you can also enter a parent or guardian's email address or your own personal email address. 


The Backup Email can be added initially when creating your account or you can add it after your account is created by editing your user profile.
