An Administrator can archive Teachers from their MakeMusic Cloud platform. When archiving Teachers, their platform-owned subscriptions are deallocated, including Teacher subscriptions and Print add-ons. Additionally, their platform-connected classes are archived.
Log into https://admin.smartmusic.com, and select the Teachers tab. The Teachers page allows you to view all Teachers connected to the platform. Select the checkbox next to each Teacher that you want to archive. Then select the Archive Teachers button. Note: Administrators are not able to archive other Administrators.
A confirmation message appears, including a summary of the effects that archiving the Teacher will have. Select Cancel to return to the Teachers page. Select Archive Teachers to confirm and complete the archiving.
The Teacher is removed from your platform and from the Teachers page, and any platform-owned subscriptions they had been allocated are available to allocate to others.
Reinstating Archived Teachers
To view the Teachers that have been archived, select the Archived tab from the Teachers page. To reinstate archived Teachers, select the Teachers' checkboxes, and then select the Reinstate Teachers button.
A confirmation message appears, including a summary of the effects that reinstating the Teacher will have. Select Cancel to return to the Teachers page. Select Reinstate Teachers to confirm and complete the process. Note: A reinstated Teacher will be reinstated as Free. See Allocating and deallocating seats for instructions on allocating a Teacher full access.
Viewing Archived Teachers' Classes
To view the classes, grades, and assignments for Teachers that have been archived, navigate to your Gradebook. Turn on Include Archived Classes.
Classes that have been archived are marked with this symbol:
Select an archived class. The assignments, grades, and students from the archived class appear. Because all students within an archived class are automatically archived, the student names appear in italics to indicate that they are inactive.
