This feature will allow teachers to act as a student and therefore check the assignments that have been assigned, as well as all the features available to a student.

This would be really helpful. I think most teachers want to get a feel for the student experience so that they can troubleshoot, etc. This should not be at added cost to the institution or instructor.

This is very important.  In the past I have always added myself as a student in order to keep track of the email reminders to be sure they were accurate.  Please add this back into the options.

    Hi all,

    Thank you for your feedback.

We think the guest mode as a "transparent" mode where you can switch from teacher to student on any assignment, but without impacting your gradebook data.

At the moment, you can easily invite yourself as a student in one or several of your classes. Please find below the process. We will not count this student as a paid student, so it will not reduce your number of student seats. The only caveat is that if you submit an assignment to test the full assignment loop, this grade will be taken into account for the class average.

That being said, to join your own class as a student:

    1. Copy the code of the class you want to join
    2. Logout from your teacher account
    3. Go to https://admin.smartmusic.com/join
    4. Enter a class code
    5. Click "Join and Create and account"
    6. Create a student account by using a different email and username. Note that you will not be able to use the same email as the one used for your teacher account.
    7. Validate your account creation

Back to your teacher account, you will be able to send assignments and include yourself in the assignees.

    Best,

    Greg

I'd much prefer the ability to "CC" the teacher on all email reminders sent to students rather than to create a separate student account with a separate email and enroll from that email as a student. The latter is messy, particularly concerning the gradebook, and excessively time consuming. What should instead exist is simply the ability to jump in as a guest student to a class of a teacher's choosing to "test" the assignments.

Let's revisit this issue.  I just want to be able to click on an assignment that I gave my students and show them on my projection screen how to do the assignment, step by step.  They are middle school kids!  I shouldn't have to log OUT of my SmartMusic account and log IN with a different email in order to show them the process.  Then multiply that x 12 classes.

Some programming genius at SmartMusic ought to be able to automatically set up a "teacher demo" spot for every class created by a teacher.  It could be at the top of the roster of every class.

Please, could this item be back on someone's list?

    Thanks!
