MakeMusic sent out a notification today about the platform changes coming soon (eliminates students being able to get to all content, even if it wasn't assigned by the teacher).  This is cool with me because that was supposed to be the deal all along with the TEACH seats.

My question is will students still have access to an entire Method Book that has been "pinned" to the class by the teacher?  I have been told all along it would be. Without beginning instrumental kids having access to the entire beginning method book, SM is loosing yet another major advantage.

  I have a TEACH platform and am unable to pin a method book for my students at this time.  What am I doing wrong?

  Hello Kelsey,

  There was a bug preventing users from pinning a method book. The bug has been identified and just fixed. Please try again. You should be able to pin method books now.

  Are students able to submit a method book exercise from a pinned method book? To date it seems like they can only submit content that has been assigned by the teacher. Is there another way for teachers to track students' progress through their method books?

  Hi Tgullicksrud,

   Currently, students are only able to submit takes for titles which are assigned to them. Although we do have practice reports on our development roadmap, which should help to provide additional insight into your students' practice, beyond submitted assignments.
