Edit the timing and which students are assigned for existing assignments

• You can now edit existing assignments to change their timeline as well as the students included in each assignment. Please see our dedicated article for more information.

Improved visibility for late assignments

• Students will now see a dedicated “My Late Assignments” deck on their Home page, allowing them to quickly focus on overdue tasks.

User experience

• If a student has already submitted a take for any assignment, they will now receive a more accurate message when submitting a subsequent or duplicate take.
• When students encounter error messages while trying to login or access restricted content, these messages will now feature new, user-friendly information to better guide them.
• Several bugs causing submission errors for students have been fixed.
• iPad performance has been improved and several memory crashes have been solved.To enjoy these benefits, you will need to update your SmartMusic iPad app (which, of course is free).

Content

• With your help we have identified nearly 300 engraving/content issues among the 25,000+ titles in the new SmartMusic. These range in importance from slightly misplaced dynamics to titles that will not open. We are currently focused on fixing these errors, starting with issues in method books. We’re currently about one third of the way through and still going.

• In the next couple of weeks, you will be able to assign an assignment to several classes at the same time.
• We’re also hard at work testing the early/late assessment feature, and hope to share it with you soon.
