Uploaded an xml file. Went to assign to a class and the "Select a Class" tab remains greyed out, so I can't assign.  Any ideas?

Same thing here. It seems to be related to the fact that the students are on free accounts.

Anybody have any luck with this yet?  And what was the solution?  I just got set up with a new account and I'm running into the same problem.  It seems to work fine when I assign something that's already in SmartMusic, but it doesn't work with music I upload myself.

My situation was because it was a free account. You can only assign music that you upload yourself to students if you pay $10 per student (for a one-year subscription) and $40 per year for each teacher (usually $80, but I think they're doing a 50% discount right now). You can only pay for this by calling their sales department at 303-848-3640. Try pressing option 1 first, but you might be put on hold for 10 minutes and then disconnected. I called back and pressed 2 instead and someone answered. Good luck!

Also, I think they are willing to pro-rate the annual subscription fees so they end on June 30th instead of a year from now.

I have a yearly subscription but also have free seats for extra students due to Covid.

I was able to upload content in their music library but I wasn't able to assign xml files that I created. They are basic Finale excerpts that I converted to xml form for smartmusic. I've done this a ton and have never had a problem. It must be the load on their site.
