My school requires us to either be in band, chorus, and strings.  I was in band last year, so I continued this year. My band teacher makes us use Smartmusic. Our grade from the assignment goes into our report card. Therefore I take my grade from the assignment very seriously. I'm not the best at playing the trumpet, so usually my Smartmusic grade isn't the best. So when I got 2 notes wrong and when timing wrong, I was so happy that I was going to get like a 90. Turns out 3 notes wrong on a 24 note assignment gives you a 47! That's a failing grade. I googled it and I should have gotten an 87.5%. Not a 47%. I request that Smartmusic becomes smart at math, not just music.
