Hello,

I have a student who signed up with the wrong email, added an extra "S" when typing her email. So we signed up again using the correct email. Now she can not log in. It tells her that her password is incorrect. But when we click on the forget password it won't send her an email. Is there a way to reset her password on your end or mine as the administrator?

I tried removing both of her accounts but when she signs back in it just activates the old account again.

Please advise me to how to get her account access.

thank you

I'm having a similar issue...A student is unable to log in due to a typo and the password reset emails from SmartMusic get caught in our district's spam filter for students. I also tried removing her but that just removes her from the class, not deletes her account.

Has anyone received an answer about this? I just submitted a request hoping someone can help from SmartMusic but who knows how long it will take to get an answer. If my students have a personal email account, I will just have them use that and sign up again. But for those who do not, I would like to know how I can help them change their password.

I'm now requiring all of my students to use my email as a back up email to prevent this problem in the future. But its a little too late for my first class and I have 3 students who cannot remember their passwords, didn't put in a backup email,  and cannot reset their passwords because their school email will not allow them to receive the reset email from Smartmusic. Ugh.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, I was able to submit a request to SmartMusic helpdesk with the student’s email, and they were able to reset her password and send me the temporary password. It took over a week for them to get back to me due to *gestures broadly* though, so don’t expect an immediate response. Good luck!

Yes- me too. I've waisted hours trying to help my younger students - most problems could be avoided if they would simply let students SEE what they are typing when creating a password. I had students sign up but not enroll in my class and when they try to do it again, they can't use their email again so they use a personal email but then forget their password and can't get personal emails on their school device. Wish I could manage my student log in and passwords for them - I've used other programs where everyone uses the SAME password which makes it soooooo easy. My district is paying for all these accounts but students HATE using SM - it makes them cry! Not what I want.
